Leah is a trainee lecturer at Gower College Swansea, with a passion for gaming and esports. She has been able to incorporate esports into the classroom, by providing students the opportunity to compete at a national UK level. This has provided them with a platform to showcase their skills. She has also used the team as examples of teamwork, strategy, and communication throughout the curriculum. By blending academic learning with esports, she’s seen a noticeable increase in student engagement, to build on this she has begun running internal esports events on a monthly basis, where students have the opportunity to win prizes provided by sponsors.
