I am honored to be recognized as a Trailblazehers in Gaming Award nominee. As a PhD researcher, I am breaking new ground by establishing gendered toxicity as a critical area of study within gaming. Through published research, I highlight how harmful behaviors disproportionately affect women and marginalized genders, driving the need for more inclusive and equitable play spaces. I’ve shared this work with leading esports organizations and game user researchers, ensuring industry professionals understand both the human impact and the responsibility to enact change. My goal is to inspire progress, elevate marginalized voices, and help shape a safer, more inclusive future for gaming.
